Hitachi Mixed-Use Development Survey
The City of San Jose is considering a development proposal by Hitachi Global Storage Technologies to convert 174 acres of their 332 acre campus site at Cottle Road and Highway 85 (former IBM site) into as many as 3,417 single-family detached and attached residences and 460,000 square feet of retail space. A public meeting will be held on the proposal on June 30, 2004 at 7:00 pm at the South Side Community Center.

The City of San Jose continues to support development in Coyote Valley without a single large corporate campus like Cisco Systems proposed.
