I have the same problem in front of my house. The curb and gutter are buckled to the point that water is diverted into the street then back to the gutter on the other side creating a pond about 4-5 inches deep in front of my driveway. This occurs not only when it rains but whenever anybody "upstream" washes a car or over waters their lawn. I had an inspector come out to evaluate the problem and was told it did not meet the criteria for the city's grant program because there was no vertical seperation that could cause a tripping hazard or auto damage. I haven't called any contractors out yet for estimates but was told by the inspector that it is approximately $31.00 a foot to replace the curb and gutter. If anybody has had this work done or knows of a reputable concrete contractor I would appreciate the contact.
