Subj: car broken into
From: Candy_Simons@maxtor.com (Simons, Candy)

I just learned of this site (wish I knew sooner) and I can't believe all of the burglary reports. What is going on in our neighborhoods. Unfortunately, I have one to add to it. On Friday night, June 7, 2002, my blazer was burglarized. It was parked in our driveway. We were home. The "dirt bags" took two amplifiers, and a crossover. They destroyed the middle console to get the crossover out. Surprisingly, they didn't touch my cd's, which were in the middle console and in the glove compartment. They also left the garage door opener right on the passenger seat. My stereo and speaker box were also left behind. Which makes me wonder if they plan on coming back at a later time.

I am sharing this story with the hopes that neighbors will keep an eye open for strange vehicles, people, or anything out of the ordinary. I live at Foothill and Rolling Glen Court. (Foothill and Cahalan). There are a lot of people that travel on Foothill, jogging, walking their pets, biking, or just taking a stroll. I am a working parent, as I am sure that most of us are. We need to watch out for each other. If there is something going on that just seems out of place, or "just not right", call the police and report it. That gut feeling you are getting is trying to tell you something. I know that we work very hard so that we can raise our kids in a neighborhood that we like and feel safe in. We also work very hard for the material items that we do have. And to have some piece of &#%! come onto our property and take our things just doesn't seem right. I know I will definitely be watching out around here now. I hope others will do the same.

If anyone has any information about this burglary, or any other, please contact the police department right away. Thank you.
